Instructions
| Bulges
and unsightly areas can be helped with the body wrap. If
you are doing a partial wrap, you will only need about 12 wrap
bandages and you'll start at just above the knee. These
instructions are for the full wrap. A full wrap requires
about 24 bandages and you'll need a partner to help with hard
to reach areas. |
 |
|
 |
Professional
Salons will use a roaster which works well to keep your wrap
bandages at 125 degrees, but you may also use a bucket to soak
your wraps in. A bucket will be just fine for
the home user. |
| About 20
minutes before you begin your wrap, place the rolled bandages
in very warm water and allow them to soak completely with the
warm water. When you start, wring out (by hand) a wet
bandage, leaving it rolled. Wet the leg with the rolled
bandage, and smear a thin layer of sea clay on the leg.
Only do one body part at a time. |
Getting started
Begin with your wrap still rolled, and start under the
ankle like a stirrup, then wrap around the ankle to hold the
end in place. |
 |
Wrap upward,
toward the heart, overlapping the side of the wrap with each
successive wrap. Make sure your wraps are smooth and
even. |
| Continue
wrapping, and make sure the side of the wrap does NOT cut into
the back of the knee. There are many nerve endings here,
so make sure you cover the area in one "pass". |
 |
 |
When you get
to the end of one wrap bandage, "tuck" in into the
wrap edge, to hold it in place, as shown in this
photograph. Then, start your next wrap bandage over the
one you just ended. |
| Continue doing
the leg until you have covered the legs with wraps, stopping
just below the buttock, as seen in this photo. |
 |
 |
Here is the
front view of the leg, showing where to stop. Now,
spread a thin layer of sea clay on the next leg and follow the
instructions till both legs look the same. Make sure you
have your wraps tight, but not so tight that you feel
throbbing or tingling. |
| Here is a back
view of both legs wrapped. Before you continue, make
sure you have no wrinkles or exposed areas. You're going
for a nice smooth look. |
 |
 |
Holding one
wrap in place, start at the abdomen and circle around, and
down, UNDER the buttock so that you "lift" it up,
supporting it with your wrap. |
| See the butt
lift, and define it, separating it from the legs, yet
"rounding" and supporting it with the wrap.
Follow on around, and wrap over the abdomen, holding the
beginning of the wrap in place. Make another pass if you
can. |
 |
 |
Here is the
buttock lift, with two wrap bandages in place. Notice
how you are squeezing in the buttocks, compacting them. |
| Here is a
front view of the same thing. Notice that the wraps are
not "cutting" into the tender flesh at the top of
the thigh, where more nerve ending are. This is
important for the comfort of the client. |
 |
 |
More wraps
along the abdomen, and hips. Make sure you overlap, and
do a couple of layers. This prevents having the edges of
the wraps "rolling", creating much discomfort for
the client. |
| Rear
view. See the bulges on the hips, which still
exist? We'll want to run more wraps around this area, to
smooth even more these bulges. |
 |
 |
Wrap down, and
continue around the hips, as if you are trying to form a
"mini-skirt". This compacts the hips and the
buttocks, helping promote inch loss. The wraps should be
very firm, but not so uncomfortable that the client is
throbbing or having circulation problems. If these are
too tight, you must loosen and re-wrap the area. |
| Starting under
the arm, go upward and across the breast, with one wrap.
Avoid "cutting" into the breast. Try to wrap
in one motion. Remember to add sea clay to the area just
before wrapping. Many women do not add sea clay to the
breasts, as they do not want to lose inches in this area. |
 |
 |
The Criss-Cross
wrap, which results from starting under the opposite arm,
going in the other direction. As usual, "tuck"
the ends under the wraps to hold them in place until you can
put another wrap over the end. |
| Put sea clay
on the arms, and start at the wrist, wrapping upward over the
biceps. Make sure the edge of a wrap does NOT cut into
the area in front of the elbow. Be smooth and steady. |
 |
 |
All
done! Now, have someone help you into the sauna
suit, to hold in moisture, warmth, and to allow you to move
about. |
| If any wrap
"rolls" and starts to become uncomfortable, you must
unwrap that area and smooth it out. The object is to
smooth and compact the body so that no bulges or lumps are
visible.
Stay in the sauna suit for just 70 minutes. Staying
in longer will NOT give you any additional inch loss, so 70
minutes only.

After Wrap
Instructions
Do not shower or take a bath for at least 24-48 hrs.
Avoid alcohol, and drink plenty of water. The skin will
feel "ashy" for a day or two, and drinking water
will allow the body wrap to continue to flush toxins and
increase inch loss even more.
